Meet Our October Member Spotlight – Jack Gombach

Company: Habitat for Humanity of Berks County
Position: Director of Development & Marketing

GRYP Member Since: 2015
Jack joined GRYP in 2015 because he was doing a lot of consulting work at the time and was looking for opportunities to enhance his professional experience. As a way to get more involved with GRYP, Jack assumed a leadership position as Chairman of the Community Impact Committee. This committee strives to provide opportunities for young professionals looking to get more involved in the community and is always looking for new members to join the team.

As a young professional in the Greater Reading Area, Jack feels that young professionals are uniquely positioned in our community to do fulfilling work professionally, as well as to give back and get involved. To other young professionals looking to advance their careers, Jack thinks it’s critical for young professionals to get a mentor. “Whether that be a senior in your company or someone who is simply more experienced than you in the industry, you want someone who is respected to help you learn all aspects of the profession, including the difficult to navigate nuances.”

When Jack is not busy working as the Director of Development & Marketing for Habitat for Humanity of Berks County, serving on the Board of Trustees for Reading Area Community College or volunteering his time on the Advisory Board for the Reading YMCA, he enjoys going to new restaurants and finding new favorite spots, especially in West Reading. Speaking of West Reading, he’s really looking forward to Barley Mow’s new kitchen!
