On Friday, September 21, GRYP’s President, Lindsay Crist went Over the Edge of the Abraham Lincoln Towers for Bethany Children’s Home.

Over the summer the GRYP Board supported Bethany’s mission to raise $1000 for the organization. The end result – Lindsay was able to rappel down 12 stories and show the support of the Young Professionals in the area.

Funds were raised through collecting pocket change at the summer events – First Friday Beer Gardens, monthly Happy Hour events, Third Thursdays, a special Dine & Donate at the Beverly Hills Tavern, and by asking family and friends to support the initiative.

Over the Edge was a unique opportunity to provide individuals the opportunity to rappel down the side of the Abraham Lincoln Towers. This was the third year Bethany Children’s Home hosted this special fundraising event. Individuals and teams join together to earn a spot to rappel by raising a minimum of $1,000 from friends, family, and colleagues. Last year we raised over $110,000 for Bethany! Hopefully Bethany was able to top the amount from last year!

Thank you to everyone that supported GRYP and supported Bethany Children’s Home by donating. GRYP is looking forward to supporting the cause again next year and to see who will go “over” in 2019!
